The work we do together is guided by your experiences with nature. As an ecotherapist, I will accompany you on your journey as your guide, offering a nurturing, compassionate and accepting space in partnership with nature. I will track your experiences, deeply listen and reflect back to help you delve deeper into your process of self-discovery. Having your experience held and witnessed by both nature and another person can offer the emotional safety and support you need to explore the edges of your growth and self-healing.
1:1 ecotherapy sessions last 90 mins and the structure usually involves:
Prior to starting sessions together, we will create an agreement so the overall shape of the work we explore together is clear. This agreement is dynamic, and can always be revisited.
Some examples of nature-based modalities we may use together in our sessions include:
Sessions are located in South Devon — this can be discussed further. I work near the coastline at Dawlish Warren National Nature Reserve SSSI, as well as public woodland near East Dartmoor.
Any work we do together is in relationship with the land and earth community and so care is always taken for the spaces we work in, honouring the other-than-human beings accompanying you on your journey — be that wild flower, tree, fox, bee, rock or river.
Cost is £65 for a 90 mins ecotherapy session, in nature.
If you are experiencing financial hardship I have some limited concession rate spaces.
I also offer a discount if paying for blocks of 6 sessions in advance. Please contact me directly if you want to find out more about concessions/discounts.
All sessions take place in nature and are designed to be undertaken on a regular basis - either weekly, fortnightly or monthly. However, the number of sessions that we do together is always led by you.
If you wish to have a stand alone session this is something we can explore.
If you would like to find out more about how we could work together I offer a free 30 min zoom consultation.
Online sessions cost £50 for 75 mins. Frequency could be weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
The benefit of working online together is that it provides more opportunity for you to deepen your relationship with your local nature spaces. Online sessions also offer more flexibility with the times we can meet. Some people chose to do blended sessions – so alternating between an online session, and then a session on the land. It is about finding what works best for you.
During every online session you are invited to start with a guided grounding practice, to bring you into your body. There will be opportunity for you to check-in and we can explore what is emerging for you in your growth and healing journey, from an eco-therapeutic perspective.
If your location allows, you will be invited to spend some time outside in nature as part of the session. But if your location does not allow this it is OK, we are nature and we can be with nature through our bodies, our inner nature, and our living spaces. We can also explore what has emerged for you during solo time you have spent in nature outside of the session.
Each session I offer personalised nature-based invitation(s) for you to carry out in your local nature space, in your own time.
Please contact me with any questions. I will send you further information including how to schedule a free, no obligation, Zoom call to discuss how ecotherapy could work for you.
